Hi, I'm Laura.
I build things for the web.
I'm a web designer and developer based in Brighton & Hove. For 15 years I've built websites, online shops and apps for some of the UK's best-known brands - and now I bring that experience to bands, artists and small businesses.
From one online shop to household names
I started in 2011 at Surrey Linen Company, looking after their website and online marketing. By improving the product pages, getting their products into Google Shopping and running their Google Ads, we more than tripled their monthly online sales in six months.
Since then I've worked agency-side at Jellyfish, building campaign pages and websites for Channel 5, River Island and Fitbit, and in contract and in-house roles at Lush, Which?, EA, MoneySupermarket and BT.
But my favourite work is closer to home. I love living in Brighton, and I love helping the small, local businesses that make it such a good place to be - and building them websites without the big-agency price tag.
I'm also in a band myself: esOterica, a UK metal band. I built our smart link and livestream gig pages, so I know first-hand what it takes to launch a release, fill a gig and make a small promo budget go a long way. When I build something for your band, I'm not guessing - I've been in your shoes.
What you can expect
Plain English, always
No jargon and no tech for tech's sake. You'll always know what you're getting and why.
Big-brand standards, small-business budgets
The same care for speed, accessibility and tracking I bring to brands like Lush - without the agency overheads.
You own it
Your website, your smart links and your data belong to you, not to a platform charging you every month.
Honest advice
If you don't need an app, a big rebuild or an advertising budget, I'll tell you.
